The luxury pavilions of Chief's Camp, are located on Chief’s Island in the Moremi Game Reserve - a region known as the "predator capital of Africa"
Named after the Chief Moremi, the hereditary king of the area who used the lands as his royal hunting ground, Sanctuary Chief's Camp in northern Bostwana is located on an island created by the seasonal floodwaters of the Okavango. The area is known as the “predator capital of Africa” and is also home to large herds of elephant and buffalo as well as over 500 bird species. The decked lounge, dining area and atmospheric fire pit all overlook expansive floodplains so that guests can continue game viewing in camp.
Guest accommodation is comprised of 12 secluded, permanent luxury bush pavilions. The main deck area is split-level and offers expansive views over the floodplain while the lower level of the deck houses an exquisite swimming pool.
In this corner of the Mombo Concession where wild dog, lion, cheetah and leopard rule the land, you're going to want to get out and meet them (from a safe distance, of course) as much as possible. Pole through flood ways in search of hippo, take a helicopter tour over the delta, enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives or savour a relaxing spa treatment from the camps’ treatment room overlooking the surrounding floodplain.
